Life cycle assessment for integrated building energy consumption

Based on the life-cycle theory (LCA) and the characteristics of integrated building at each life cycle stage, presents some new definitionssuch as energy life cycle, functional unitsand energy characterization, and then develops a new building life cycle energy quantitative calculation model for both integrated and conventional buildings. By the model, calculates and compares an integrated building and a conventional building with similar building function and weather condition. The results show that the energy consumption of the integrated building is 62.8% of the comparative one, and when the life cycle of the building is assumed 50 year, the energy consumption of maintenance stage accounts for almost 90% of corresponding total energy consumption.
